SML Newcomers Club provides educational or recreational activities for its members. Their activities include monthly programs, and they also have special events and interest groups, including dining, card games, and craft-making.
They host 1.5-hour events that run 10:30 am-12:00 pm, led by different people with different specialties. You could be learning interesting things like gardening, boating, yoga, and more! Join the Bedford Cares Spring Craft Fair, a fund-raising event for Neuter, Trap, and Return Organization. It will be in the Knights of Columbus, 201 Sweeney Circle. Enjoy great vendors and crafters selling coffee, nachos, pizza, breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, and beverages. Grab your raffle tickets and win great prizes! This event will be on April 23rd, from 9 am to 5 pm, so mark your calendar and have a blast!
Don’t miss the Earth Day Roanoke on April 23rd, from 10 am to 3 pm! Earth Day Roanoke is an environmental and cultural celebration held in Grandin Village. Earth-friendly crafters, vendors, and all other businesses will be there! Plus, live music! Drop by Grandin Village and celebrate with the locals in Smith Mountain Lake! Kids’ activities and fun will also be available during this day.
Smith Mountain Lake has healthy forests and greeneries, contributing to its exceptional natural beauty. Forest Landowner Extravaganza is the first event to thank all forest landowners in Smith Mountain Lake for taking good care of their lands. The event will cost $15 at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Mark your calendar for May 5th from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm and enjoy this celebration.
The event includes a catered lunch with four speakers. After lunch, you can choose from 5 educational workshops. There will be transportation for off-campus spots. What’s more? They offer a discounted price to those who will attend the May 3rd to 5th event—Virginia Forestry Summit.
